Modifying/Renewing Authorship

  • When submitting a work to a journal, the authors alone bear full responsibility for disclosing their identities. Any additions, deletions, or reorganizations to the author names after the paper is evaluated for publication will not be accepted without the journal editor’s approval and the corresponding author must provide the journal’s editor with written confirmation of the reason(s) for the change to the author’s record list and verification from all other authors who support the reform, transformation, removal, or reordering of these kinds of changes, either via email or letter.
  • Only in exceptional circumstances and for compelling reasons may the editor reconsider an author’s inclusion, removal, or rearrangement of contributions after the document has been recognized. If the material is already published online, there’s a good probability the editor won’t take an appeal into consideration.
  • If the author(s) have used previously published work, they must acknowledge this and make it evident how the most recent work they have presented is unique, creative, and valuable in a different way from the earlier work.
