Submission Guidelines

Manuscript Submission
While submitting a manuscript, you acknowledge and affirm that the described work is original
and has not been previously published or under review elsewhere. All co-authors, if applicable,
have consented to its publication, and the responsible authorities at the affiliated institute have
granted approval—whether implicitly or explicitly—for its dissemination. Please note that the
publisher assumes no legal liability in the event of any claims for compensation.
Permissions
Authors who intend to incorporate published figures, tables, or text passages into their work must
obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) for both print and online formats. Additionally, it
is necessary to provide evidence of the granted permission when submitting papers. Material
lacking such evidence will be presumed to be authored by the submitting individuals.
Online Submission
Please follow the hyperlink “Submit manuscript” and upload all of your manuscript files
following the instructions given on the screen.
Source Files
To ensure that your article is considered for review, it is crucial to provide all necessary editable
source files with each submission and revision. Failure to do so may result in your article being
excluded from the review process. When submitting your manuscript text, please use widely-
used word processing formats such as .docx or LaTeX.
Title Page
Please make sure your title page contains the following information.
Title
The title should be concise and informative.
Author information
● The name(s) of the author(s)
● The affiliation(s) of the author(s), i.e. institution, (department), city, (state), country
● A clear indication and an active email address of the corresponding author
● If available, the 16-digit ORCID of the author(s)

If address information is provided with the affiliation(s) it will also be published.
For the authors that are (temporarily) unaffiliated, we will only collect their city and country of
residence, and not their email address unless explicitly requested.
At present, our authorship criteria are not met by Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT.
It is worth noting that assigning authorship with accountability for the work is a challenge when
it comes to LLMs. If an LLM is utilized, it is important to adequately document it in the Methods
section (or in a suitable alternative section if a Methods section is not available) of the
manuscript.
Abstract
Please provide an abstract of 200 to 250 words. The abstract should not contain any undefined
abbreviations or unspecified references.
Keywords
Please provide 4 to 6 keywords which can be used for indexing purposes.
Text Formatting
Manuscripts should be submitted in Word.
● Use a normal, plain font (e.g., 12-point Times Roman) for text.
● Use italics for emphasis.
● Use the automatic page numbering function to number the pages.
● Use tab stops or other commands for indents, not the spacebar.
● Use the table function, not spreadsheets, to make tables.
● Use the equation editor or MathType for equations.
● Save your file in docx format (Word 2007 or higher) or doc format (older Word
versions).
Headings
Please use no more than three levels of displayed headings.
Abbreviations
Abbreviations should be defined at first mention and used consistently thereafter.

Footnotes
Footnotes serve the purpose of providing supplementary information, including citation of a
reference from the reference list. However, it's important to note that footnotes should not be
limited to mere reference citations and should never include detailed bibliographic information.
Additionally, figures or tables should not be included in footnotes.
Footnotes in the text are numbered sequentially. For footnotes associated with tables, use
superscript lowercase letters. Asterisks are suitable for significance values and other statistical
data. However, there are no reference symbols for footnotes related to the article's title or
authors.
Always use footnotes instead of endnotes.
Acknowledgments
Acknowledgments of people, grants, funds, etc. should be placed in a separate section on the title
page. The names of funding organizations should be written in full.
References
Citation
Authors are encouraged to follow official APA version 7 guidelines for in-text citation,
footnotes, references, figures and tables etc.

Permissions
If you include figures that have already been published elsewhere, you must obtain permission
from the copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format.
