Instruction For Authors

PJISS Guidelines For Author

  1. Language

The manuscript should be written exclusively in English, adhering American standards and not mixing with the British. Only select the American language while drafting the manuscript.

  1. Length of Paper

When submitting your paper, keep in mind that the ideal length should be within 25 pages (4000-6000 words) and follow the format of Times New Roman, 12 Font. Remember to exclude tables, figures, references, and appendices (if any) from the count.

For easy readability, please double-space your articles (including footnotes and references) and use a single-sided format on preferably A4 paper with wide margins. We encourage clarity without sacrificing conciseness.

  1. Title Page

Important elements to include on a title page:

  • Author name(s)
  • Concise and informative title
  • Author affiliation(s) and address(es)
  • Contact details for the corresponding author: email, telephone, and fax numbers.

  1. Abstract

Please provide a concise abstract, consisting of 150 to 200 words. Ensure that the abstract does not include any abbreviations that are not defined or references that are not specified.

  1. Keywords

Kindly furnish 4 to 6 relevant keywords that can facilitate effective indexing of the content.

  1. Acknowledgement

If applicable, the author may include an acknowledgement section on the title page of the paper.

  1. Subdivision of the article

Organize your articles with clearly defined and numbered sections. Break your content into main sections numbered 1, 2, and use sub-sections like 1.1, 1.1.1, 1.1.2, etc.

Remember, exclude the abstract from the section numbering.

  1. Table and Figures

When including tables and figures in your article, make sure to place them within the content, not at the end. Remember, if your article will be published in black and white (print), online readers will still enjoy the colorful figures!

  1. References

Authors should adhere to the most recent edition of APA style when referencing. For a comprehensive understanding of APA style guidelines, please visit www.apastyle.org

Citations in the text

Make sure every cited reference is also listed in the reference section (and vice versa). Avoid citations in the abstract. Unpublished results and personal communications should not be in the reference list, but can be mentioned in the text. 'In press' citation implies accepted for publication.

Reference List

To ensure proper organization of references, it is recommended to arrange them alphabetically as a primary criterion. If needed, further sorting can be done chronologically. When multiple references from the same author(s) are published in the same year, it is advisable to identify them by appending the letters "a", "b", "c", and so on, following the year of publication.

  1. Submission Preparation Checklist

Prior to manuscript submission, authors should review the following checklist:

  • Ensure that the submission has not been previously published and is not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Verify that the submission file is in Microsoft Word format ONLY.
  • Make certain that the manuscript adheres to the journal's author guidelines.
  • Avoid including author name and affiliation in the main text.
  • Include the name of the targeted journal on the title page.
  • Familiarize oneself with all terms and conditions outlined by the journal.
  • Submit plagiarism check certificate from Turnitin.
