Inaugural Edition of the Pakistan Journal of Integrated Social Sciences
The Pakistan Journal of Integrated Social Sciences invites research articles from scholars across the globe for its inaugural edition. This biannual peer-reviewed journal aims to promote interdisciplinary research by encouraging co-authorship among scholars from different social science disciplines. The inaugural edition of the journal seeks to underscore the importance of interdisciplinary work in contributing towards a more holistic understanding of contemporary societal challenges.
For the inaugural edition, PJISS is encouraging authors to submit articles on "Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Climate Change: Understanding, Adapting, and Innovating" (SDG 13). Authors are encouraged to submit research articles that explore innovative avenues of interdisciplinary research, including but not limited to topics such as:
- Climate Policy and Governance
- Climate Change and Social Justice
- Climate Change and Health
- Climate Change Communication
- Climate Change and Urbanization
- Climate Change and Biodiversity
- Climate Change and Economics
- Climate Change and Education
- Innovations in Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation
- Climate Change and Indigenous Knowledge
This can be achieved through a diverse range of research methodologies and approaches, including qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research.
We welcome submissions from scholars and researchers working in the fields of sociology, political science, anthropology, economics, history, psychology, and geography, among others. Articles submitted for the inaugural edition must be co-authored, with at least one author from a social science discipline different from the other. This requirement is a testament to the journal's commitment to publishing quality research contributing towards holistic understanding of social challenges, which can only be achieved through collaboration and interdisciplinary dialogue.
The deadline for submissions is February 15, 2024. The Pakistan Journal of Integrated Social Sciences ensures a rigorous double-blind, peer-review process, with a commitment to timely feedback for authors. Manuscripts that reflect excellence in research as well as the principles of interdisciplinary collaboration and dialogue will be considered for publication.
