The aim of JCMS is broad and encompasses a wide range of sub-disciplines, reflecting the multidisciplinary nature of chemistry. The scope of the journal falls in all areas of organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, applied, medicinal, computational, biochemistry, geochemistry, natural product research, petroleum and petrochemicals, macromolecules, polymers and nanochemistry, material sciences including energy, sensing, environment and biomedical applications.

The JCMS Journal makes a maximum effort to publish submitted papers as quickly as possible. The first round of reviews should be completed within two months. Then, authors are expected to improve their manuscript within one month. If substantial changes are recommended and further reviews are requested by the reviewers, the publication time is prolonged. The whole review process fully follows standard procedures.
