Aims and Scope

Journal of Creative Arts and Communication (JCAC) is an annual, interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal. It is dedicated to advancing the methods and prospects for publishing media and creative industries-based research. It publishes original screen-based, sound-based, and pragmatic forms of creative research, spanning works of, but does not limit to, film, music, media arts, digital writing, and other platforms that contribute to fields across media studies, communication and cultural studies, media psychology, theatre, art and design, music, creative writing, drama, radio, newspapers, dance, and performing arts. It promotes debate and interdisciplinary dialogue across a broad spectrum of approaches. Academic articles, critical statements on contemporary issues, and reviews of books, films and documentaries. It provides a contemporary forum for researchers, critical practitioners, and educators to learn and contribute to the field's body of knowledge.
