Abstract

The notion of general self-effacing gives a vital theoretical tool for observing the viability, execution, and soundness of a person's work. Scherr's hypotheses about general self-efficacy are characterized by a global view of the subject.

OBJECTIVE: To determine the impact of confidence and self-efficient on academic attainment and life fulfilment among university students.

METHODS: A cross sectional correlation research was done by using convenience sample technique. General self-efficacy (Capri, 2012) and Self-esteem scale (Galanou, 2014) were used. A sample of 192 students (88 males and 104 female, age range 20-25) was drawn from Government College University (GCU) and University of Management and Technology Lahore (UMT). Informed consent forms were obtained from all the participants. Data was analyzed through SPSS (version 20).

RESULTS: The results showed a positive association between confidence and efficiency among university students. In addition, there is a positive relationship between hope and confidence in academic achievement in addition to life satisfaction among university students.

CONCLUSION: It was concluded that more hopefulness would have more confidence and self-efficient. This study carried out to explore relationship of hopefulness, confidence and self-efficient on academic attainment and life fulfilment among university students.
