Rising Trend of Land Pollution and Islamic Teachings: An Analytical Study

Abstract

Environmental pollution has sensitized the whole world in current times. Pollution is increasing day by day. Land pollution is a type of environmental pollution. Industrial and home wastes are not being disposed off wisely. Solid waste is thrown at public places by homes and industries in shape of garbage, glass, papers, plastic bottles and textile etc. that pollute the environment of earth. Furthermore, land pollution is caused by excessive use of chemical fertilizers, tillage, pesticide spraying which leads to the degradation of land for agriculture and reduction of forest coverage. Besides, it also adversely affects the ecosystem. Land is a very beautiful, charming and miraculous blessing of God but when it is being used in a wrong way by modern in these days. The polluted area causes various health issues and the residents of contaminated regions fall prey to many diseases very soon. The increasing trend of land pollution is a very disturbing problem. In densely populated areas, the pressure of pollution has become so intense that people are slowly facing various health issues. Extremely contaminated areas are not only unpleasant for human beings but also harmful to  all other living beings. The rise of land pollution is a serious threat to human health. Land pollution has become one of the considerable threats to the entire humanity. Recent flood in Pakistan was also result of global climate change. Common People are neglecting land pollution and not caring of it. Therefore, land pollution requires some more attention. This research article explores harmful effects and reasons of land pollution and role of international role to control its rise throughout the world. Land pollution can be minimized and controlled by following Islamic environmental teachings.
