Abstract

Imam Ibn Abi Shaiba was a great Mohaddith of his time. His teachers were renowned scholars of his age and those who acquired knowledge from him were also prominent scholars and jurists like Imam Bukhari, Imam Muslim and Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal etc. He compiled many books in the field of Hadith. In this regard, his books “Al-Musannaf, Al-Musnad, Al-Iman and Al-Adab are considered magnificent books on their topics. Style and methodology of these books have been considered to be the best by scholars and researchers. These books are not only the precious addition in the Hadith literature, but they are also the masterpieces of compilation. After remaining for a long period of time in the form of manuscripts, now these have been edited by many research scholars and published by various publishers of the Arab world.
