Abstract

In the middle of 20th century, after the destruction of Ottoman Empire, the religious schools of thought which came into existence, some of them are established on the concept of Iqaamat e Deen.

   They want to make submissive every aspect of life to Islam including political and economical affairs and consider it the only real goal. They claim that their concept is based upon Holy Quran and Sunnah.

   According to another viewpoint of Scholars, the existing Concept of Iqaamat e Deen is absolutely new concept and old Scholars have never discussed it before.

   Now it is necessary to explain the meaning of "Iqaamat e Deen" in the light of expository literature and try to find out the facts that what the old Scholars meant by "Iqaamt e Deen" and how modern scholars take it. And what is the difference or connection between old and modern viewpoint.
