In this cross-sectional descriptive study, subjects comprised of 143 students of which 27.3% were male and 72.7% were female between ages 18-26 years. The Musculoskeletal health questionnaire (MSK-HQ) was used to measure MSK-HS. Beacke questionnaire was used for the measurement of a person’s habitual physical activity. Among the samples, 6.3% of the students were from 1st year, 8.4% from 2nd year, 7.0% from 3rd year, 16.1% from 4th year and 62.2% from 5th year. The association of physical activity with musculoskeletal health status (p = 0.00) was significant. The physical activity levels in correlation to the male and female population (p = 0.31) were not significant. MSK health among the male and female population found to be statistically significant (p=0.01). MSK scores between different academic years were statistically significant difference (p = 0.02). This study showed that students who had high physical activity levels had better MSK health status whereas, students engaged in low physical activity had poorer MSK health status. Results indicated that male population had poor MSK health status as compared to the female population. The comparison of different academic years indicated that MSK health status among 1st and 2nd years was poor while it was better for final years. The study indicated that the students were physically active at moderate levels.</p> 2023-06-16T00:00:00+05:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://hpej.net/journals/JRCR/article/view/2305 Severity of achilles tendinopathy in athletes of The University of Lahore, Lahore 2023-10-26T16:36:48+05:00 Asma Yasin asmayasin481@gmail.com Iqra Mubeen asmamar606@gmail.com <p>Athletes and the general public both frequently have achilles tendon issues. The nomenclature used to describe the painful Achilles tendon problem is unnecessary, unclear, and frequently does not accurately represent the underlying pathology. Victorian Established Don of Assessment-Achilles (VISA) questionnaire was circulated to 168 athletes and the filled questionnaires were collected back instantly. A separate questionnaire was used to gather demographic data from athletes. Data consisted of 89 females and 79 males. Age range was between 20-40 years old and the average score of body mass index (BMI) was 24.2 + 4.12 and average VISA score was 64.7 + 24. It was concluded that majority of the patient had severity of achilles tendinopathy. The mean value is above 50 and it indicates the severity of disease and standard deviation is also high<br>because of outlier.</p> 2023-06-16T00:00:00+05:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://hpej.net/journals/JRCR/article/view/2302 Evidence-based rehabilitation among adult patients with COVID-19 infection: An integrated literature review 2023-10-26T13:58:05+05:00 Azka Bilal azkabilal898@gmail.com <p>The purpose of this integrated review is to provide evidence-based rehabilitation among adult patients with coronavirus. Four databases were used for the integrated literature which took six months to complete and finished in July 2021. Search databases include PubMed, Medline, the Library of Latin American, Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, Pedro Physiotherapy Evidence Database and Google Scholar. The studies reported that patients who suffered from coronavirus (COVID-19) indicate the respiratory and musculoskeletal disorders and impaired functionality. Taking into consideration the majority of people affected by coronavirus disease worldwide, it can be estimated that physiatrists and physiotherapists will become more and more concerned in the care of these patients, in order to recover the pulmonary function, psychological and physical competence, and also to bring back a good patient ADL.</p> 2023-06-16T00:00:00+05:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://hpej.net/journals/JRCR/article/view/2301 Patient satisfaction with telehealth and digital physical therapy practice during COVID-19 2023-10-26T13:18:23+05:00 Amina Siddique farrukh.murtaza@uipt.uol.edu.pk Farrukh Murtaza farrukh.murtaza@uipt.uol.edu.pk <p>The objective of the current study is to investigate the problems of the patient and the level of satisfaction of physiotherapists. Patients using telehealth and digital physical therapy procedures to minimize physical contact between physiotherapists and the patient during COVID-19. The study was conducted on 151 patients of different age groups. The data was gathered from the Pakistan Society for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled (PSRD) hospital in Lahore. A patient satisfaction survey was used for patients in which the different satisfaction levels were defined for different age groups of males and females. The satisfaction level of the patient was observed with telehealth and digital physical therapy. Out of 151 patients, 67 were males and 84 were females. The range of age of these individuals was 20-30, 30-50 and 50-70 years. It was observed that females were more involved as compared to males. It is concluded that the maximum number of females were satisfied. Overall patients with age group 30-50 years were more satisfied as compared to other age groups. This study concludes that the satisfaction of patients with the use of telehealth technology varies. Since the young population use technology more whereas elderly patients have various concerns regarding treatment over the telehealth platform they do not want to continue using telehealth therapy after the pandemic but patients are satisfied in the current situation of lockdown and fear of getting infected with COVID-19.</p> 2023-06-16T00:00:00+05:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://hpej.net/journals/JRCR/article/view/2300 Association of emotional intelligence with leadership skills among Physiotherapists 2023-10-26T16:39:22+05:00 Shehar Bano aliraza77715@yahoo.com Mian Ali Raza aliraza77715@yahoo.com Hafiz Sheraz Arshad aliraza77715@yahoo.com <p>This study explores the association between emotional intelligence and leadership skills among physiotherapists in Lahore.
